eclipse-cdt software package provides C/C++ Development Tools for Eclipse, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install eclipse-cdt
eclipse-cdt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the eclipse-cdt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep eclipse-cdt *
You will get with eclipse-cdt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
